VIDEOS
I prepared this page to showcase a few video projects. Although I’m applying for a graphic design position, I wanted to demonstrate my ability to edit videos and manage pacing, rhythm, and overall atmosphere. Each project reflects my attention to detail and my eagerness to take on new creative challenges.
EVENTS
For the “Events” section, I captured two annual celebrations organized to thank clients and collaborators. Despite the challenge of the red lighting (my worst enemy — branding demands it), I focused on creating edits synchronized to the music, with animated logos integrated throughout. The goal here is to showcase my video editing skills more than my cinematography, since the footage was shot partly on my phone and partly on my DSLR.
TRAVEL
For a team trip to Lyon, I filmed and edited a recap video to capture the experience. Everyone was supposed to contribute footage, but I ended up filming most of it myself. I matched the overall mood and pacing to the music of the artist performing at our event (yes, once again featuring my worst enemy: red lighting). This project highlights my ability to tell a story and create atmosphere, even in lightweight, fast-paced conditions.
BEHIND THE SCENE
For a series of advertisements created for a college electronics engineering program, I captured behind-the-scenes footage for the clients before the final edits were completed, using both my phone and DSLR. I also contributed creative suggestions to help shape the final edit. I’m proud of this project because it reflects my involvement throughout the production process. The final piece is tied together with motion design elements and editing.
B2B MANICOUAGAN
For this edit, I worked with visuals provided by the art director along with video footage from the Manicouagan region. While I wasn’t responsible for shooting the footage, I created the entire edit and handled the motion design. This project demonstrates my ability to assemble and stylize external assets while respecting a strong artistic direction and visual identity.
DANCE SHOW
For the “Dance Show” category, I filmed two full two-hour performances. The example featured here is a promotional piece for one of the shows, edited using footage I captured with my DSLR. The goal was simple: convey the energy and emotion of the performance in just a few moments.
STORY SHOOT
I occasionally collaborate with a modeling agency to create editorial submissions for magazines and expand my portfolio. During a shoot split into two series (fashion looks and swimwear), I asked the models for an extra 15 minutes to experiment with video work. The first video combines rotoscoping with motion design elements layered both in front of and behind the models. The second was simply an opportunity to test lighting setups and have some creative fun with the visuals.
